Frank Fitts Debut Video

Last night we attended our last gig before we leave Lithuania for awhile. Frank Fitts has released their new video for the single ‘RED’. Filmed and directed by Pijus Vėberis, the video shows us the band’s adventures over the past summer.

Red video reminded me of punk life during the Sex Pistols era in London. The video has it all – crazy driving, smoking while watching the sunset, pogoing at the concerts, chasing each other and pretty much living the summer dream. It’s also fun to watch how the view is overlapping itself speedily like memory flashbacks from the past.

Punks Not Dead: Frank Fitts Debut Video

Red lyrics tells a story of a young person who is doubting if it’s “really worth it” to come back to an old relationship which brought lies and frustration. Red colour, as we know it, symbolises love, desire and passion but also anger and determination so I’m guessing this song implies to a previous love partner.

Red Lyrics

A lie inside my head
And I see clearly that the sky is red
You lie inside my head
And I see clearly you won’t understand

Made me believe those lies
Those eyes saw clearly
Made me
Someone I can’t trust

Is it really worth it
Is it really worth to try again
Is it really worth it I can’t forget the bloody bloody red
Was it ever worth it
We tried to quit smoking but never did
And I just want my old life
I touched the Sun and burnt my fingertips

A lie inside my head
And I see clearly that the sky looks red
You lie inside my head
And I see clearly it won’t understand

Made me believe those lies
Those eyes saw clearly
Made me
Someone I can’t trust

Is it really worth it
I don’t really wanna try again
Is it really worth it
I can’t forget the bloody bloody red
Is it really worth it Is it really worth to try again
Is it really worth it
I can’t forget the bloody bloody red
Was it ever worth it
We tried to quit smoking but never did
And I just want my old life
I touched the Sun and burnt my fingertips

After watching the video, Frank Fitts performed live and the crowd was jumping, pogoing around. I was pleasantly surprised to hear songs from their previous projects, also a cover of The Raconteurs – Steady, As She Goes, drummer’s absolute awesome choice.

Thank you so much, Frank Fitts, for an amazing night! Not gonna lie, they’re one of our favourites.

Thanks for reading and please feel free to share the love for music by posting this on your favourite social media platform! You can also follow along our adventures on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter

P.S. There’s always something behind the lyrics… oh, and don’t forget to listen to our new podcast series.
